Well, it is nice to meet you and see you are interested in things China. I was originally in the New Zealand Navy and spent many years in Singapore, Hong Kong an every other place in Asia so I have always had a soft spot fro this area, and I guess for the people. I am now married to a Chinese lady and seemed to have fitted in to the way of life very well. I am very happy here and the friendliness of the people is quite amazing. I am in a smallish city in the North East not too far from North Korea and it does not see many foreigners. I have been to both Beijing and Shanghai and there are foreign people everywhere and I found I am happier back in my small town. I am sure you will love it here and also your children. Yes the children have a midday sleep and all the bunks are pulled out and they sleep for a couple of hours, two to a bed. They do eat meals there as well and go home in the afternoon. I have great fun on Monday mornings because I go to the school early and meet and greet the parents and also quite a lot of grandparents and they are just so happy to hear their little ones so a couple of words to a foreigner in English. Anyway , enough of my rambling and hope t hear from you again sometime.
